Painting the Town Red

The Arkansas Williams' had a busy yet relaxing weekend. After work Tiffany and I decided to check out the fabled Little Rock River Market. So after work, we went back to downtown little rock for some fun.

We began the night by eating at the very college station-like Blue Coast Burrito (like freebird's). Then we trekked downtown to a very fun (but not as lively as Ft. Worth or Austin) area where we took pictures of each other and laughed at creepy hobo-looking dudes.

After that fun filled night, we went to sleep and decided to go on a picnic the next day. so we packed up the charcoal and chicken and went to riverside park about 3 miles from our house.

This is our picnic set. its really handy.

This is our food. Tiffany's soon to be famous chicken legs, even though we burned it a little. it was still yummy. Smell that Chicken!

We also sampled some of the wildlife Arkansas has to offer.

MONSTROUS MOSQUITOS!!!!

And we were attacked by giant ants......er....salt and pepper shakers.

And Beautiful Scenery

Anyways, A good weekend, back to the rat race on monday, only about a month until thanksgiving. Have a good week everybody.

Love

Matt and Tiffany

ps. The aggies won in Lincoln, Dallas won at home, and the Barking Spiders pulled off the crapshoot win. For football life, at least for this week, all is good.

Give Me Some Chocolate!

Give me some chocolate!!

I knew it was only a matter of time before I had my first emotional breakdown. Working three different jobs PLUS going to grad school was going to get to me eventually. Bless my poor husband’s heart. He has learned that if he just holds my hand, let me have my emotional moment, and give me some chocolate I’ll be ok. Chocolate is an amazing substance. It has now been proven to reduce bad cholesterol, improve the function of the blood vessels, help prevent blood clots, reduce the risk of cancer, treat depression, and produce feelings of happiness and well being. The best part about all of that information is that I didn’t make it up! So yes….chocolate could just be the miracle drug.

Even though I had my first “school/work-related” break down, life is good (really busy but good). The volleyball season is in full swing and we are in the middle of conference play. We just got back from the wonderful town of Arkadelphia. It just so happens that in the next two weeks we will be going there two more times! It is located about half way between Little Rock and Texarkana. The town of 10,000 people oddly enough has two universities (Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist). You would think that a town with TWO universities would have another restaurant to eat at besides Wendy’s. Well…if you thought that you’re wrong.

Last weekend the William’s family came to visit us. We had a wonderful time. The boys went fishing and caught a fish. The girls and Ryan went to Little Rock and did a little bit of shopping. It was so great to have our family here. We love to have company. I am sad to say that the fam didn’t get to experience red necks first hand (the guys might have had some encounters when they went fishing… I’m not sure). Matt and I were going to take them to the redneck of all redneck places, Georgetown One Stop. Unfortunately they were closing early for some reason, maybe next time. They did get to experience Mi Ranchito; the fine authentic Mexican food of Searcy AR. I do wish we lived just a little bit close to our family so we could see them more often. Who knows where God is going to send us…..

This weekend I have a bible class, Christian Ethics in Education. It should be interesting. I love it when Harding offers bible classes on the weekend. The only time I have to go to class is that ONE weekend and my grade is based upon attendance. Ok…it’s not that good. I also have to write a TEN page paper with research. I’m getting really good at writing papers. Next weekend Matt will be in Houston attending Kelly’s wedding and I am off to Arkadelphia once again. The weekend after that we might go camping with my wonderful grandparents. They are going to Lake Texoma for the weekend and we are thinking about going up there and hanging out. I miss them.

Well…this is by far my longest post. If you made it all the way to the end with out skipping over all my important information good for you and thank you. If you just casually scanned over my ramblings shame on you. I am pouring out my life here. Not really. Have a wonderful weekend!!
